General Aviation (GA) could not have a better friend in state government than the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and their Bureau of Aviation. Florida is leading the way with many new safety, operational, risk management, and industrial initiatives, all aimed at putting the Sunshine State on top as a promoter of safe GA operations, robust support industries, and emerging technologies. FDOT's David P. Smith will discuss FDOT's numerous programs, products, and projects underway to safely manage risks, secure GA's future and economic viability in the near and long term, and much more, including YOUR questions! The event is FREE and public is welcome!

Free two-hour safety presentation. Driving: Park in Short Term parking lot and save your entry ticket. Parking vouchers will be provided; parking is free with the voucher and entry ticket. Enter the main terminal building, go up the escalator or take stairs to second floor and follow the signs to the safety seminar just ahead. Fly-Ins: Sheltair is the closest FBO, about a 5-minute walk to main terminal. Let Sheltair know ahead of time, and show the receptionist your parking voucher obtained at the event.
