Brief Description:

To promote safe flying in the McGuire Alert Area (A-220), the 305th Air Mobility Wing Flight Safety Team sponsors this program, which will cover the following topics plus a tour over 4 hours:

1) inform general aviation pilots about the hazards of flying in busy military airspace; and

2) Provide strategies for flying safely in the McGuire airspace. The program includes presentations on the types of military aircraft a GA pilot might encounter in the Alert Area and tours of the McGuire Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) facility, the McGuire control tower, and static displays on the flight line.

Making the event special is the ability to fly to and land at McGuire Field.

REAL-ID driver’s license or a valid passport REQUIRED for access to the base!!! 

Only register if you are a pilot acting as PIC flying inbound to the event. Please do not register if you registered for the 2024 MACA Fly-In.

• Due to heightened security, all attendees must pre-register for this event on this site. 

• The event is only open to U.S. citizens and their dependents at least 13 years of age. Pilots must be at least 18 years of age, must have their PPL, and must have at least 100 hours as PIC. Participants must pass security screening and pilots must provide USAF liability release forms.

• All participants ages 18 and over must provide a REAL-ID form of identification upon arrival, either a REAL-ID driver’s license or a valid passport. Real ID not required for minors who are accompanied by an individual in possession of a Real ID or passport.

• The weather minimums are 5 miles visibility and 3,000 ft ceiling.

80 seats at the facility. This event is strictly limited to 40 fly-in aircraft and 80 total individuals. One pilot and one passenger per aircraft. Please do not register anyone other than yourself at this time. Registrations in excess of one person will be removed. 

A wait list will be made if the initial limit is filled.
