Brief Description:

What does the weather forecast really mean to you? Take the mystery out of the GO/NO/GO weather decision.  In this seminar, you will gain critical understanding of upcoming weather hazards to flying, such as thunderstorms, turbulence, low level wind shear, and various kinds of IMC. You will learn about big picture weather patterns and rules of thumb for predicting major storm system patterns and movements. Using a real time internet connection, we will review the latest online weather forecasting products and, together, apply the principles just learned to develop a strategic flight plan for a scenario with weather.
