Title:
General Aviation Essentials for Runway Safety
Topic:
Learn Better Ground Operations To Safely Get You Where You Want To Go
Speaker(s):
Jay Seward, FAASTeam Representative
Brief Description:
When you want to fly, you have to taxi first. That is easy to say, but can be harder to do. Low visibility, complex airport arrangements, communications difficulties and more can turn this seemingly easy task into a risky proposition if you don't manage the situation properly. In this seminar, we'll talk about some of the most famous accidents in aviation history, then discuss procedures and techniques you can use for better pre-taxi planning and ground movement execution. There are many available resources that can help if you know about them. Attend and find out more about ground operations before and after flying. Let's all fly, and taxi, safe!
