Title:
Daytona FAASTeam Presents a Pilots Introduction to MOSAIC!
Topic:
FREE Two-Hour Introduction to the New MOSAIC Ruling and How to Use it to Get Flying
Speaker(s):
Robert Jex, FPM Emeritus, Orlando FSDO
Brief Description:
Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC), nicknamed "Sport Pilot 2.0", is a broad collection of recent and pending rulings centered on the Light Sport Aircraft and Sport Pilot communities. MOSAIC can provide a great on-ramp or off-ramp to a professional flying career! MOSAIC will drastically open up the world of flying where once there had been substantial regulatory barriers. This FREE two-hour discussion will cover the basic regulatory framework, including permissions and limitations. We will touch on Light Sport Aircraft and Sport Pilot issues, pilot certification and operational perspectives to be aware of. Presentation will address select resources and best practices, with emphasis on pilot perspectives and what's ahead for MOSAIC. Links to select resources are in the attached list below.
