Mike will discuss what UPRT is, the incredible value gained from this training, for all pilots, provide some accident statistics, upset causes with examples, UPRT value for aircraft builders, and provide some guidelines for maintaining control of your airplane.
Mike is the owner and Chief Instructor Pilot at Specialized Aero Works, where he teaches UPRT, aerobatics, formations flying, and more. He is a contract test pilot and instructor for Stratos Aircraft, Epic Aircraft, and individual builders. Mike is a 3-time Master CFI - Aerobatic (MCFI-A), a former Marine Corps F/A-18 pilot, combat veteran, and school trained Aviation Safety Officer (Naval Postgraduate School). He is also an FAA Safety Team (FAAST) Representative.
