Brief Description:
We often hear flight instructors weigh in on teaching pitch or power to increase airspeed during critical phases of flight. In this class we will investigate why this has become a debate, and why it does not need to be a question. The answer to all of these questions is: Energy Management. The FAA has included an entire chapter in the Airplane Flying Handbook covering this very subject. (FAA-H-8083-3C)
This class will discuss the information in this chapter and then make practical application to YOUR aircraft. We will also cover some common mistakes and misconceptions.
