Title:
Boca Raton Pilots Meeting
Topic:
Oh, No! I’m NORDO!! Learn How to Handle NO RADIO Event
Date and Time:
Wednesday, January 7, 2026, starting at 18:30 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Fred Simonds
Brief Description:

NORDO, or No Radio, is a condition seldom addressed in FAA publications like the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, the Instrument Flying Handbook, or the AIM. AIM 6-4-1. It states that "pilots are expected to exercise good judgment in whatever action they elect to take." This is as vague as "When in doubt, do the right thing." Fred will offer practical ideas you can use no matter which situation you may face. Expect real-world examples and challenge yourself with several "What if" scenarios.
