Topic:
This presentation will show you how you can add various maneuvers and techniques to your personal training program.
Date and Time:
Saturday, April 18, 2026, starting at 11:30 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ed Verville, FAA Designee
Brief Description:

In Flight Loss of Control (IF-LOC) has been the most frequent cause of fatal aviation accidents since the dawn of aviation. Commercial jets even suffer from IF-LOC fatalities more than any other accident. The FAA now requires that all FAR Part 121 Air Carrier Pilots complete annual training in stall recognition, stall recovery, upset recovery, slow speed maneuvering, and other maneuvers. This training template has now been added to the Airplane Flying Handbook. This presentation will show you how you can add this training to your personal training program, as well as other techniques that will help you become a safer, more proficient pilot.
