Every Aircraft must be Approved for Return to Service after any maintenance is performed. Even Preventive Maintenance performed by the Owner/Operator. Is it when you walk by the pilot and give them a thumbs up? Is it when a mechanic says, “Don’t worry it is all documented on the work order”? It comes down to paper work.
