Brief Description:

Join the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) for a 3 1/2-hour seminar Mastering Pre-Flight and Post-Flight Procedures, Untowered Airport Risk Management and Runway Safety. Learn how to properly prepare for, spot, and mitigate hazards before and after flight, prevent runway incursions or excursions, and operate safely in non-towered environments.

This seminar awards the required 3 knowledge credits to complete a WINGS Basic Phase—all you’ll need afterward is to have your flight training credits validated by your instructor to earn your WINGS Basic lapel pin.

This seminar will take place in classrooms Alpha and Bravo located on the second floor of the main US Aviation Academy building on 4850 Spartan Drive. Front desk staff will be present to direct you as necessary when you enter the facility.

Vehicle parking areas are depicted in the attached image. Highlighted in yellow.

For Fly-Ins, aircraft tie down space is available at the Sheltair Fixed Base Operations (FBO) and a short walk southbound through the airport terminal will take you to the academy.

The presentation event will be 3 hours & 30 minutes consisting of three 50 minute safety training presentations with time for breaks and questions.
