Weather affects our flight planning in many ways, but do we truly understand how elevated temperatures and humidity affect the performance of your aircraft and the impact they have on your decisions as a pilot. This interactive discussion will delve into those issues to enhance your understanding of elevated temperatures and humidity weather conditions.

Thanks to our speaker - Dan Petrovich.

Dan Petrovich is originally from the South Florida area. He learned to fly at Opa Locka Airport in 1977 and has been a CFII-MEL since 1978. Dan retired as a United Airlines Captain in 2022 following a 37 year career. At United he flew the Airbus 320, Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787. He was also a ground school and simulator instructor on the B-727 and a Quality Control Line Check Airman on the A-320, B-777, and 787. Dan served as a Designated Pilot Examiner for 6 1/2 years with authorizations for Private, Commercial, and Instrument ratings. He has retired from that role, but continues to stay involved as a member of several aviation related groups on both local and national levels.
