Title:
EAA Chapter 1345 (Bend) Meeting and Safety Presentaion
Topic:
Towered and Non-Towered Airport Operations: Be Predictable.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, May 14, 2025, starting at 18:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Stephen (Steve) Bateman, CFI
Brief Description:

Although currently non-towered, Bend airport is at an interesting transition point, with an ATC control tower under construction and slated to be operational in the near future.

What does this mean for local and transitioning pilots, and what's this we hear about a TRACON coming to Redmond?

Come prepared to learn but also to share, as we prepare for some major changes to our local airspace—and also how we can help stamp out the rash of "Normalization of Deviance" bad habits that have crept into local airport operations.
