Brief Description:

Daily, AVP-100 monitors and tracks every aviation accident or incident that occurs domestically, or involves a US registered aircraft abroad.  AVP-100 staff enter preliminary accident data in the Preliminary Accident/Incident Database, which is shared with the Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program.

This briefing will show the process of how accidents are tracked and followed on a world-wide basis and how the aviation industry utilizes case studies to review the latest trends and lessons learned.
