Taking the two most important aspects of backcountry flying and discussing the relationship between the two, UBCP President Roy Evans II hopes to empower backcountry aviators (and soon-to-be backcountry aviators) with the necessary mindset to enjoy the unparalleled opportunities our airplanes afford us while preserving aviation’s access to these historic airstrips. For those who elect to keep their tires clean, the discussions on Aeronautical Decision Making, Risk Assessment and Threat Mitigation, and learning what you and your aircraft are capable of will make you a more competent, confident, and capable aviator.
