This session will discuss the urban air mobility (UAM) Concept of Operations 2.0, which suggests the use of helicopter routes as a potential way forward with integrating unmanned aerial systems (UAS) into the airspace for AAM. Projects to date with results that might be of interest to the rotor community include Low-Density UAS (unmanned aerial systems) Ops Communication Evaluation (LUCE), sUAS flying Instrument Approaches (research performed by NAVOS), Development of Non-System Specific Technology to Integrate Uncrewed Aircraft Systems into the National Airspace System, Remote ID SuCAS testing outcomes, and sUAS Traffic Management testing outcomes.

This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
