Title:
KBVY Human Factors and Open Question session for Pilots
Topic:
Human Factors Considerations When Flying followed by an Open Q&A session for Pilots
Speaker(s):
Gregory Woo, Bill Kossowan
Brief Description:
Have you ever found yourself surprised by an unexpected situation, conflict, or abnormal and perhaps startling event while flying an aircraft as a pilot? If so, you are likely aware of how unsettling and stressful the surprise can be. What are the human factors considerations you need to be aware of and how can you mitigate the hazards associated with such situations?
This event will be the launch event for regular in-person Safety Seminar sessions for pilots. This first session will present some key human factors considerations for safe flight operations relevant to pilots. The format will be exploratory discussion-based and attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and add to the discussion with their own experiences and insights.
In addition, following the Human Factors and Situation Awareness discussion, a panel of seasoned flight instructors will be available to answer your questions or provide you guidance to resources that can answer your flight-related and pilot-related questions.
