Dennis Miller, CFI, and 2023 National FAASTeam Representative of the Year
Brief Description:

Mismanagement of short field operations can lead to accidents involving pilots both with and without short field experience. Planning and practicing short field operations can help general aviation pilots, not only with their short field performance, but also with normal flight operations.

Predicting aircraft and pilot performance is essential to safer short field operations and may reduce loss of control and controlled flight into terrain accidents.
