Title:
Airport Finances
Topic:
Understanding Airport Finances and how they affect your safety on the airport
Date and Time:
Saturday, October 14, 2023, starting at 11:00 Pacific Daylight Time (12:00 MDT; 13:00 CDT; 14:00 EDT; 08:00 HST; 10:00 AKDT; 11:00 Arizona; 18:00 GMT)
Speaker(s):
Douglas Rice
Brief Description:

As pilots, we pride ourselves on maintaining situational awareness when flying. We strive to know and maintain the mechanical condition of our aircraft. Yet few of us ever consider the financial health of our airport until either our rents go up or the airport comes under threat because it is not “paying its own way”. Do you know where to look to see the financial condition of your airport? Is your airport financially stable? Does it have the funds to pay its portion of FAA Grants for airport improvements? How might these issues affect your safety while operating in the NAS?

This presentation will present an outline on understanding airport finances, where to find information on the financial health of your airport, and using facts you find to help defend your airport.
