Brief Description:
A study of General Aviation controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) accidents found that a significant number of pilot fatality post-mortem examinations detected the presence of pre-existing medical conditions and/or prescription and over-the-counter medication use. A smaller number of cases revealed recreational drug use.
This seminar emphasizes the importance of disclosing a complete medical history, conditions and medication inventory to your medical examiner during the certification process, as well as performing a basic self-assessment before each flight.
