Brief Description:

A growing number of people are buying Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) as toys. eUAS is also referred to as "Drones". Professional companies like Amazon, Uber and others are exploring using drones for deliveries. There are many aspects to operating drones and we are going to cover them.

At this seminar, we will discuss all the aspects of drone operations from FAA Regulations to legal operations used by companies like electrical, real estate and more.

A Team of Drone specialists will speak, and answer all questions.

Josue Tirado is a FAASTeam Rep and DronePRO. For many years, he is a professional Land Surveyor in several states. He has worked with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) since 2014. He has flown the Delair UX5, a Miami Dade County Aerial Element, within Class B and Militaries jurisdictions. All mission purposes were for mapping for design improvements.

Josue has been a GA pilot for over two decades, and  a Professor for Embry- Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). In January 2024 he taught STEAM classes using aviation principles and preparing an ERAU unmanned systems class,

Kevin Edwards operated UAS's in support of Critical Infrastructure and Emergency Response efforts across the country for the last 7 years, with over 4,400 flight hours on energized infrastructure. He is currently employed by United Utility Power Services as the UAS Flight as Operations Manager, and a FAASTeam Rep.

Kevin will discuss the effects of perception on aviation safety, from the flight crew's perception of themselves and their roles, to the impact of the public perception and that of the regulatory bodies.

Rhiannan A. High - Drone Focal Point with FAA FSDO, SO19 for 2 years - as regulatory requirement for operating a sUAS.

She is a 10 year Army Veteran.. Rhiannan loves aviation, it has been her passion all her life.
