Date and Time:

Speaker(s):
Steve Roberts, Aircraft Owner and Safety Advocate
Brief Description:

Scenario: The weather is low in fog but sunny skies prevail only a few hundred feet up for your IFR flight.  The takeoff goes well until the tower says the baggage door is open right after liftoff.  What do you do?

EAA/IMC Club, through the EAA's global Chapter structure, provides organized "hangar flying" focused on building flying knowledge and skills.  The program's network promotes a safety culture through continued education and believes that we develop safety and proficiency through education and real-life experience. Monthly meetings offer an opportunity to share in-flight experiences and valuable safety tips. Through the FAA Safety Program, aviation professionals provide informative WINGS presentations. Membership in the EAA/IMC Club is encouraged but not required to participate in this meeting. For more information and to take part in this event, click the link below and register TODAY!

Have you ever asked yourself, how can I keep my skills as sharp as they were when I received my certificate and have fun at the same time?  Let’s look at ways we can keep our flying skills up to par and more importantly have some fun while doing it.  Training and fun, not often known as something that goes together very well.  We can put together scenarios and training that mimics what we really do on our daily flights.  Instilling fun and maybe a little bit of competition can help ensure we develop our flying and keep our skills sharp and confidence high while we fly!
