Brief Description:

The two-hour meeting starts at 09:00 with a social event with refreshments, followed by a brief business meeting, followed by the guest speaker. You do not need to be a member of EAA to attend this free event.

Matthew Starr is an ATC professional with 12 years of experience in the aviation industry. He is the owner and founder of ATC for Pilots, an aviation school specialized in air traffic control education. Matthew’s mission is to ensure that all pilots are comfortable and confident working with ATC. Pilots should never hesitate to utilize the potentially life-saving services provided by air traffic control.

The presentation covers the foundations of air traffic control and walks through real situations and discusses appropriate actions. Matthew will cover situations where ATC can help pilots stay safe while providing opportunities for pilots to ask questions and learn more about how ATC can keep pilots safe while operating in the National Airspace System.
