Title:
Importance of Best Glide Speed
Topic:
Best Glide Speed and Configuration
Date and Time:
Tuesday, April 11, 2023, starting at 18:30 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Craig Patterson
Brief Description:

What do we really know about 'Best Glide Speed'?  We had it drilled into our memory during primary training.  We get reminded of it during our flight review.  We need to know this speed when we are going to fly an aircraft that is unfamiliar to us. When pilot's have an improved pilot knowledge and proficiency in flying at best glide speed and configuration, this increases the chances of a successful forced landing.
