Brief Description:

Join us as Capt Brad Alberts wiil address the topic about the leading cause of aircraft accidents and fatalities in Aviation: Loss of Control In-Flight.

He will discuss the overall flight envelope parameters including;   the impact of bank angle, load factor and angle of attack on stall speed. Tools for avoiding LOC-I will be offered. 

Capt Brad Alberts started his flying career up the coast at KSNA where he obtained all his instructor ratings. That lead to five years with a commuter airline out of San Diego feeding passengers to United at LAX.

He then flew a Lear 55 for two years before starting a 34 year career at Flying Tigers/FedEx Express.

Time and experience as an 747 FE and 727 FO positions led up to flying the MD11.  He flew both Domestically & Internationally for last 24 years with FedEx.

Ancillary Aviation Duties Include;  Safety Team work, analysis of human factors and accident investigation as an important part of the 46 years he’s been flying.

There will be time for Q&A after the presentation.

There are New Security Procedures in place for all Attendees.

Be sure to preregister in advance for this seminar. Solar Turbines will send you a confirmation email 1-2 days before the event, with a link to a citizenship question and safety video (which must be watched annually). After the video you'll have to answer a couple questions correctly. One question asks the emergency phone number to use at Solar with the correct answer requesting a full phone number; not 911.

If you are unable to pre-register, or register too late to get the Solar Turbines visitor invite, you are still welcome to show up but you will need to wait for Security to check in all registered guests before they can check you in. 

When checking in with Solar Security Guards, you must provide a government issued I.D. (e.g. Drivers License) and initial a login sheet.   All of these steps are required to be a Guest at the Solar facility.
