Ever wish you had an AME you could ask all of the questions you have or voice your concerns to? Dr. Tripp is here to help!

Saturday, January 14, 2023, starting at 12:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Matthew Tripp, MD
Brief Description:

This seminar is postponed due to inclement weather.  Check back for updates. For many pilots, the medical examination is a source of unnecessary stress. Dr. Matthew Trip, AME/CFI, hopes to demystify the process by giving you a glimpse into what happens on the AME side of the curtain, explaining the behind the scenes of being an AME. He will answer pilot's most common questions, including many that often go unasked. His goal is for attendees of this seminar to come away feeling that their AME can actually be an advocate for them and keep us all flying safely. Topics to be covered include:

  • An overview of the training your AME goes through
  • What happens before and after the pilot leaves the office
  • What to expect in the office
  • Do's and don'ts for pilots on MedXPress
  • SODAs
  • Special Issuances
  • Medications
  • What if I have high blood pressure, diabetes, or ADHD?
  • DUIs
  • How your AME can (and should) help you!
  • Time to answer your questions or concerns
