Title:
SRM VS Cognitive Bias
Topic:
Aeronautical Decision Making and Risk Management
Date and Time:
Tuesday, November 29, 2022, starting at 18:00 Mountain Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Kurt Kleiner
Brief Description:

Of all the systems found in an aircraft, the human brain is perhaps the most complex system that has no built in back-up or redundancy, and one which we do not yet fully understand.    "SRM vs. Cognitive Bias" is an overview of the various methods available to pilots to assist us with effective Aeronautical Decision Making and Risk Management.  We will then discuss several subconscious impulses or processes in the human brain that have been identified by psychologists which can create a conflict with rational decision-making and undermine the successful outcome of a flight.
