Title:
May Topic of the Month Managing Component Failure
Topic:
Safer Flight Through Effective Component Failure Management
Speaker(s):
Jay Seward, FAASTeam Representative
Brief Description:
Component Failures do happen. There is a pattern to these events and, unfortunately, they often take pilots by surprise. Pilots who have thought about scenarios like those presented in this briefing and have used the preparation techniques suggested are more likely to keep their priorities in handling a component failure emergency in the proper order. Practice makes perfect.
