Brief Description:

There are many valid reasons for operating in the vicinity of mountainous terrain. These include personal enjoyment, aerial photography, flight training, fire patrol, law enforcement, business travel, search-and-rescue, etc. Regardless of your motivation for flying in the mountains, it is necessary to develop good judgement and proper techniques.

The following facets of mountain flying will be discussed:

                9:00 – 9:50          Knowledge of Mountain Weather / Mountain Flying

                10:00 – 10:50      Aircraft Performance / Route Planning

                11:00 – 12:00      Real World Stories (Guest Speakers)

                12:00 – 1:00        Lunch

                1:00 – 1:50          Survival Techniques

                2:00 – 3:00          Aircraft Accidents

Prior to attending a safety seminar, please review and abide by current CDC, State and Local health guidelines.

Seminar starts at 8:30 am and will concluded around 3 pm. Lunch will be provided to attendees. We will have information for those wishing to obtain mountain flying instruction.

Our presenters have years of combined experience flying in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Canada and other mountainous areas utilizing DeHavilland Beavers, Cessna 180/185's, Cessna 206/207/208's and Piper Super Cubs.
