Brief Description:
This interactive workshop is designed for couples who fly together.This workshop will be useful for couples where both partners are pilots and when only one partner is a pilot. Couples communication techniques and Cockpit Resource Management concepts will be explored. This workshop will educate couples to identify and respond to common psychological and physiological threats to general aviation safety.

Instructors: Mary Ann Davis is a Registered Nurse who specializes in video production relating to health and medical education. This Boulder resident has a strong interest in aviation medical issues and serves as an Aviation Safety Counselor for the Denver FSDO. She is a member of the 99s and had been previously active for a decade in search and rescue operations with the Colorado Civil Air Patrol.
Ron Benham is a psychotherapist whose private practice is located at the Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO. The focus of his practice is couples, flight crew members and victims of childhood sexual abuse. He facilitates a men’s group for the WINGS Foundation which is a support group for men who were victims of childhood sexual abuse and also facilitates relationship groups for victims of childhood sexual abuse and their partners. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Community Counseling with additional training in Marriage and Family Counseling. He is a National Certified Counselor. Ron is an ATP with LR-JET; CE-500 and CE-525(S) type ratings He is also a Certified Flight Instructor.
