Brief Description:
This presentation will present a video by Delia Colvin identifying several best weather products for obtaining information to plan for a safe flight, and to avoid dangerous weather along the route of flight. The presentation will emphasize where to find the most pertinent weather products and how to use the weather information provided in each product. One thing that has not changed much is the role that weather plays in fatal airplane accidents. Weather is still the factor most likely to result in accidents with fatalities. The presentation will conclude with a video presented by the Columbia, South Carolina FSDO of a weather related accident that might have been avoided
