Online Courses

You may need to temporarily allow pop-ups while viewing our courses.

If you are having issues viewing links or taking the exam, you should check your browser.  All courses are compatible with Chrome and Edge.  If you are experiencing problems using Safari, Firefox or other web browsers, you may need to take the course using Chrome or Edge.

If you are stuck on the page with the big play button:  There are two parts of the course.  One is a video on page 1, which you already completed.  The other is the course on the website.  Go to FAASafety.gov, after logging in to your account, mouse over the Activities, Courses, Seminars and Webinars tab.  Select Courses from the drop down menu.  Find the courses in progress box (light yellow).  Find your course in the list. Select continue. Do not open the articulated PowerPoint (The big play button. Don't select it). Finish the course on the website.  There are six navigation buttons on the upper part of the page; Intro, 1, 2, 3, Review, and Exam.  The buttons have to be selected in order.  When you select 1 then two will be ready, select two and three will be ready, select three and Review will turn blue so you can click on it.  When you select the review button the exam button will turn blue, indicating the exam is ready.  Select the blue exam button and then take the exam.  The minimum score is 100% the exam will grade, and highlight the wrong answers in red.  Retake the exam until there are no red highlights.  When you take and pass the exam, you will receive credit for the course, and be able to print the certificate.

You must be enrolled in a course to receive WINGS credit.  You will not be able to take the exam or receive WINGS credit when previewing a course.

Many courses are presented in articulate format.  When you start the presentation, it will open in a new window.  In order to complete the course and take the exam, you will need to exit the presentation (close the new window) to go back to FAASafety.gov.  Once back on FAASafety.gov, click the Next Chapter link to resume the course.
