It is essential that the aircraft owner or operator knows and understands the regulatory airworthiness requirements for maintaining and operating their aircraft. This program will outline the responsibilities of the owner, operator (PIC), and the maintenance technician.

There is often a misunderstanding about the shared responsibilities for aircraft airworthiness. Repair stations and mechanics certainly have some responsibility, but owners and operators also are charged by the regulations for ensuring certain information is presented properly in the aircraft records, and that the aircraft is legal and safe for flight.
This 3-hour program is being presented by the Saint Louis Helicopter Association, but the information is applicable to operators of all categories of certificated aircraft. Events associated with this syllabus meet or exceed minimum requirements established by the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) for the Knowledge (K) track, Elective (E) credit, and Advanced (A) Phase of the WINGS – Pilot Proficiency Program with a value of 1.00 credit.
