Attention Pilots and all other O’Hare airfield users:
A new runway is arriving at O’Hare International Airport… On November 20, 2008 the O’Hare Modernization Program will reach a major milestone with the opening of new north Runway 9L/27R. The new north Runway 9L/27R includes new final approach fixes and a new taxiway system. The new runway and taxiways will be controlled by a new north air traffic control tower. A link to the "New Runway 9L/27R" flier is found at the bottom of this email. The Department of Aviation needs your help in spreading the word among all key stakeholders about O’Hare’s new runway, taxiway system and air traffic control tower.
How You Can Help… November 20 is approaching fast. Here are some things you can do to help us spread the word:
= Visit http://www.flychicago.com/ohare/newrunway/ to review the latest campaign materials
= Post the attached flier on bulletin boards and in break rooms (print the flier from the link provided below)
= Attach the flier to paychecks and staff memorandums
= Blast-fax and mass e-mail the flier to your members and user groups
= Post information on Intranet and Web sites
= Link to our Web page or e-mail the Web address to a friend, colleague or co-worker
The success of this campaign depends upon all of O’Hare’s users - from pilots to mechanics to motor truck drivers and many more. We appreciate your assistance in helping us spread the word about the opening of new north Runway 9L/27R. Attached, please find a link to the New Runway 9L/27R PDF. We are pleased to provide 8½" x 11" or 17" x 22" printed copies of the flier/poster upon request. Please contact me via email: gcunningham@cityofchicago.org or at the number below to order printed materials.
