Southern California TRACON has redesigned the airspace around the Palm Springs (PSP) area. The active runway at PSP will determine which departure frequency will be used at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM). We strongly encourage all aircraft departing TRM requesting IFR handling or VFR flight following to check the PSP ATIS prior to departure to determine the correct departure frequency. The frequencies are as follows:
PSP landing/departing runway 13 – 126.7
PSP landing/departing runway 31 – 135.275
Aircraft requesting IFR clearances off TRM (Thermal) contact SOCAL APPROACH CLEARANCE DELIVERY at: 1-800-448-3724 (option 3) to obtain clearance PRIOR to departure.
