Rep Training on FAASTeamTV

On Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 7 pm (8 pm Eastern Time), we will be holding an online session for FAASTeam Representative Training.  Clicking on the below box will magically take you to the website where the webcast will occur.  If that doesn’t work, go to new.livestream.com/faasteamtvand select the Representative Training program.  The program starts promptly at 7pm in the Central Time Zone, 8pm in the easternmost reaches of the Central Region.  If you haven’t been trained within the past eight to twelve months or longer, please tune in.

We offer this “LIVE” to encourage interaction.  In a local live meeting, it’s easy to shoot up your hand with a question.  We expect questions online too.  We get away with this format because you can ask questions, so if you don’t, we may not be able to validate this method for future training.  Your questions will be asked of the moderator (me, Phil Dixon) after you send an email or text.  Emails go to faasteamtv@gmail.com and text messages go to Jim Lamb at 316-648-6170.  Jim will screen your calls for clarity and redundancy and forward them on to me.

Your attendance all the way through will be validated by the use of three code words that we’ll randomly pop-up verbally and on the screen.  Your training validation is dependent upon you sending an email to your FAASTeam Program Manager with your three codes.  We will also be asking you to update in that email your area of interest in aviation and your desired facet of participation (a fancy way to say whether you want to build PowerPoint presentations, present at seminars, or help with the organization of the seminar).  Your email is expected back to your FPM by October 17th, 2014.  Those reps not completing this training (either live or through video on demand (VOD), which I’ll explain next) who are outside of one year from their local training will be emailed to ask if he or she would like to remain a representative.  Those not responding to that email may be dropped from our volunteer rolls.

Video on Demand (VOD)   If you cannot view the live presentation (which is preferred), you may still go to the website after the end of the live presentation and view the whole program in its entirety.  You may then (before the above deadline of October 17) request rep training credit as described above.

The audience for this presentation will be reps from the Central Region (Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and those Illinois counties bordering St. Louis, Missouri).

You are responsible for popping your own popcorn.

Sincerely,

Phil Dixon ( phil.dixon@faa.gov )
