The St. Louis Flight Standards District Office (STL FSDO) is now accepting application packages for the General Aviation Awards program. National winners for 2014 will receive their awards at next year's EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Applications (download the uploaded file online for this notice) must be received at the STL FSDO at 10801 Pear Tree Lane, Suite 200, St. Ann, MO 63074 or by uploaded attachment to phil.dixon@faa.gov by September 30, 2014.
The four categories are Flight Instructor of the Year, Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year, Avionics Technician of the Year, and FAASTeam Representative of the Year. Local nominations are reviewed by an awards committee at the FSDO. FSDO (District) winners compete at the regional level (Central Region) during November, then regional winners vie for the national title in the four categories during January and February of next year. National winners are announced in March.
