InFO-Wake Turbulence Mitigation for Departures

As a pilot you are interested in new technology. This notice discusses an operational demonstration of Wake Turbulence Mitigation for Departures (WTMD) that will be conducted at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH), and Memphis International Airport (MEM).   WTMD is the crosswind-enabled elimination of wake turbulence separation minima when Heavy/B757 aircraft depart the downwind runway and any aircraft follows departing the upwind runway.
