Construction of the O’Hare Modernization Program will reach another major milestone on May 2, 2013, when Runway 10-28 will be redesignated 10L-28R. This change is necessary to prepare the airfield for the completion of the newest runway, 10C-28C which will open on October 17, 2013. Construction of future Runway 10R-28L is also underway and will be visible from the air this summer.
