Brief Description:

Unstable approaches and a failure to go around are a significant factor in many GA loss of control accidents. Contributing factors in some of these accidents were faulty ADM and over-reliance on automation. We will discuss these and other contributing factors and suggest techniques to avoid these kinds of accidents.

Transition training may involve moving "up" to larger, faster, or more complex aircraft, but it may also be moving to smaller, less complex, lighter and less powerful ones. A change of environment may also require care and training. We will discuss the safety issues and "best practices" for all of these situations.
