Brief Description:

This year, the Mesa Police Air Support Unit has partnered with the FAA Safety Team to provide free safety training, in addition to an opportunity to connect with fellow aviators.  A great opportunity to share best practices and learn strategies for mitigating risk.  You can also visit the onsite industry booths.

NTSB Investigator Andrew Swick will present a case study from a local fatal accident involving a Helicopter Air Ambulance.

PHI Air Ambulance Pilot and FAASTeam Rep Jeff Hurd will present an interactive case study of an Alaska DPS accident.

Designated Pilot Examiner and Boeing Test Pilot Scott Tinnesand will discuss the benefits of mentorship.

John Nunes will bring several UAS to exhibit and answer questions on FAA Part 107 and Law Enforcement operations.

Seating is limited; YOU MUST REGISTER ON FAASAFETY.GOV BY MARCH 27 so that we have an accurate headcount for catering!

FIRST-TIME ATTENDEES: If you wish to fly in and land at the training facility, please contact Joe Johnston at joseph.johnston@mesaaz.gov NO LATER THAN MARCH 27.  You will then receive landing instructions. 

If you plan to drive-in, exit Greenfield Rd. from the Red Mountain Loop 202.  Drive south on Greenfield Rd., turn west on Virginia which turns into Norwalk and Quenton Drive; continue to the Mesa Public Safety Training Facility entrance on Quenton Drive.
