Brief Description:

Come and join us from 6:30PM to 7:30PM.  BTR Air Traffic Control will present on airport hotspots, new taxiway additions, wrong surface landings, ADSB, and BTR's RADAR system Fusion versus MEARTs.

BTR FSDO will make a presentation on the hazards and risks of spatial disorientation as well as an Introduction to FAASafety.gov and the FAASTeam. 

Light snacks and beverages will be provided during the safety meeting courtesy of Signature Flight Support (BTR).

This will be a live presentation and discussion including speakers from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport Air Traffic Control Tower and the Baton Rouge Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).  Your participation is encouraged!

If you fly-in and park at BTR Jet Center, please notify the FBO personnel that you are there to attend the FAASTeam safety meeting at the Multiplex and ramp fees will be waived.  BTR Jet Center will provide complimentary ground transportation between their FBO and the Multiplex to safety seminar attendees.  Fuel is available for purchase at BTR Jet Center (Shell Dealer).

Directions to Venue:

The safety meeting will be held at 6:30 PM CST at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, Aviation Business Park, Multiplex Large Conference Room.  The Multiplex is located on the north side of the airport.

NOTE:  MOST ONLINE MAPS DO NOT ACCURATELY REFLECT THE RECENT CONSTRUCTION ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BTR INCLUDING THE MULTIPLEX.  PLEASE USE THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.

From I-10, merge onto I-110N toward Downtown, Metro Airport.  Travel approximately 6.3 miles and take Exit 6 onto LA-408.  Travel approximately 1/2 mile and turn right onto Harding Blvd toward Planl Rd, LA-67.  Travel approximately 1 mile and turn left onto Plank Rd.  Travel approximately 1.7 miles and turn left onto Blount Rd.  Travel approximately 1/8 mile and turn left onto Airpark Blvd. Travel approximately 1/8 mile and continue straight into the Multiplex parking lot.  The building will be on your right. 

Please park in the provided parking spaces in front of and around the building and enter through the double glass doors in the front.  Please sign in at the lobby desk.  You will then be directed to the conference room upon arrival.
