Brief Description:

The world of weather briefings is changing!  How do you make sense of conflicting information on a weather brief: There's an AIRMET for IFR but other resources call for VFR. Which one is right?  There's a few forecasts for Gusts to 40 knots, but no AIRMET or CWA. How do you validate that?

  • The best site to validate potential icing at any altitude
  • Locating potential turbulence or LLWS even when it’s not forecast
  • The product you must add to your Standard Weather Brief.

In this 60 minute webinar followed by a Q&A, Delia Colvin, aviation weather expert, will show you effective ways to gain certainty and safety while evaluating the information. You’ll also become familiar with some fantastic new tools.

Note:   Pilot airspace deviations continue to be a major risk in the national airspace system.  To reduce the chance that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course on http://www.faasafety.gov/.  Or search the learning library for associated guidance on airspace incursions.  Remember, safe and prudent airmen have superior situational awareness, and have a plan to keep it that way.
