The Rochester FSDO Inspection Authorization (IA) meeting for 2015 will be held in conjunction with the Rochester WINGS 2015 event and is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at the Greater Rochester International Airport.

The meeting will consist of an FAA accepted eight (8) hour IA Refresher Course presented by various industry vendors and manufacturers. Speakers from the following organizations are featured at this year's meeting: FreeFlight Systems, Swift Fuels, AeroTech, AeroEd, Aviall and more. The course meets the IA renewal requirements mandated by 14 CFR Part 65.93(a)(4). The course also meets the training requirements of the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) Awards Program in accordance with AC 65-25 as revised and counts for 8 Hrs. of maintenance training. Attendees who pre-register will automatically receive credit for attending.
 
A total of 8 hours of training will be provided on Saturday May 30th, 2015, commencing at 8:30am. The host for this year’s meeting is US Airports located at 1295 Scottsville Road. Our sponsor for this year’s meeting is Avemco. Their generous donation is much appreciated.

The Rochester WINGS 2015 event also features a full day of pilot safety seminars, several aviation exhibitors and aircraft dealers, guided bus tours of the airport runways and taxiways, new aircraft for sale and lunch from Nick Tahou’s Hots!

We encourage all Authorized Inspectors to invite those Airframe and Powerplant mechanics that you work and/or associate with to attend this meeting. Additionally, any pilots or aircraft owners that are interested in the maintenance briefings are also welcome to attend. Please register on FAASafety.gov so we can plan for your comfort.
