Every day, pilots respond to emergencies.  The newspapers are full of the stories about pilots who thought they were invulnerable.  Many have good endings while some have tragic outcomes.  The successful ending has some common factors.  We will cover a few emergencies and some strategies to insure a satisfactory conclusion.  Attend this event and share how you teach  your students to plan and prepare for emergencies.

Please Note: Participation in this meeting does not result in credit for the CFI Renewal.

This event provides an opportunity to collaborate and develop best practices, and to mitigate identifiable risks, for both the Instructor and the Student.  The result is enhanced communication and standardization of the pilot training and evaluation processes and improvements in coping with emergencies.

Together as a Team, the Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners can combine their extensive knowledge and experience with sound judgment to create and provide the most comprehensive and effective pilot training experience, followed by a reliable and effective evaluation.

The FAASTeam would like to thank the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) for their participation and contribution to the CFI Open Forum effort.

Participation in the WINGS Program as a CFI administering WINGS Pilot Proficiency FLIGHT Credits MAY QUALIFY for CFI Renewal.  See your FAASTeam Representative for details, or call your FAA Safety Team Program Manager.
