This CFI forum will address how to best implement the Risk Management Process in our instruction. The forum will include a lively discussion of the Principles of Risk Management and how we can best teach the decision making process. Additionally the tools available for Risk Management Assessment will be demonstrated thru several examples.

Risk is defined as the probability and possible severity of accident or loss from exposure to various hazards, including injury to people and loss of resources. All flying involves risk and requires decisions that include risk assessment and risk management both on the ground and in the air. Risk management is a decision-making process designed to identify hazards systematically, assess the degree of risk, and determine the best course of action.
