The eastern part of the country is absolutely beautiful in the summer season.  However, to safely operate in the summer flying season a pilot needs to be prepared.  This presentation will deal with some of the necessary considerations for a safe flight.  Do you know how to weather trend?

Sumer flying offers unique pleasures as well as challenges – challenges that need to be addressed during preflight planning to ensure a safe and successful cross country flight.  In this presentation we will examine each phase of a representative cross country flight, identify hazards unique to summer operations and discuss effective control measures you can use to mitigate the risks.

Specific topics to be addressed include: pilot capabilities and effects, aircraft operations and performance, environmental factors including spring weather patterns and trending, cross country route planning, VFR vs IFR decision making, emergency planning and procedures, and trip logistics.

Now is the time to brush up or learn new strategies and techniques for summer cross country flying.  Join us for what promises to be a lively and informative discussion.
