Brief Description:

Learning aerobatic flying enhances safety of everyday flight.  Pilots attain a better understanding of the airplane's flight envelope.  The training also prepares the pilot to handle emergency upsets.

Vicky Benzing, one of our outstanding local aerobatic pilots, will share her experience of flying aerobatics.  Vicky will show a short video of aerobatic flying which was shot from inside and outside of the cockpit.  She will then discuss how to get started flying aerobatics, the FAR's governing aerobatic flight, where to get aerobatic training, how to advance your skills in aerobatics by entering aerobatic competitions, and where the local aerobatic practice areas are located. 


Vicky Benzing is an accomplished pilot, skydiver, aerobatic competitor, and Reno racer.  With more than 6000 hours of flight time, and more than 1100 parachute jumps, Vicky holds an ATP as well as commercial ratings in helicopters and seaplanes.  She is a professional airshow pilot with a surface level waiver.  She spends much of her time performing for audiences up and down the West Coast.
