Title:
The Day The Music Died - Buddy Holly Story
Topic:
Spatial Disorientation, Situational Awareness & Decision Making
Brief Description:
(Video Trailer of this Event Here) On February 3, 1959, singers Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the "Big Bopper" died in an airplane crash in Iowa. The event was featured in Don McLean's 1971 song, "Miss American Pie." The Accident Investigation blamed the accident on "Pilot Error" and loss of control. 52 years later accidents are occurring for the same reason. This program will examine the causes of disorientation and how our situational awareness and decision making is affected.
