As of the time this seminar is posted, St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) is scheduled to have its control tower closed. Much ado has been made in the press about safety issues connected with tower closings.

This seminar is intended to provide a refresher on operations at both towered and non-towered airports, with a focus on issues that are of particular concern during the transition, if it occurs.
Even if tower closing is averted, the information presented here will provide a refresher on sources for current data on communications changes, and general safety procedures that are followed by pilots to "see and avoid" other aircraft.

Dale Rust will  be receiving his Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award at this program.
Schedule:
9:00 AM - Noon   Presentations
Presentation Topics:
Procedures at St. Louis Regional after the Tower Closure
